East Syracuse-Minoa Central High School Reviews

I am a graduate of this school and the art courses there are amazing. Seeing in college the amount of knowledge I had compared to other students, I know the school was great. But I will agree they do not offer a lot of money to the arts, the program is great because of the teachers, but they make do with what they have, and make it a really amazing experience.

This is a great school. Most of the teachers are great, the staff is great, and leadership is great. I think that the principals are doing their job, and I feel 100% safe going to school every day, though the district may have gone a little too far with security. Though it may seem that the wellness policy has gone too far, I feel that it is only being done because the district wants what's best for us The sports teams are great, and today, the boys Cross Country team won championships. All in all, this school is great. I totally recommend it.

My son is a junior now at this school. After two years there I find the school class offerings and student activities to be pretty generous, but I don't find a lot of encouragement for parental involvement. Some teachers are cooperative, but a number will not go the extra mile to help you when your child is struggling in a subject. Al the teachers have email addresses, but I've found only about half ever respond to it. Also when I've tried to meet with his teachers many didn't show up.

This school is to overprotected and students arn't given enough freedom. The school doesn't give enough money to the arts. Instead they spend money on frivilous things.

We absolutely love this school! My daughter is in 9th grade and has had a great year. There are tons of sports offered, but she is also involved with Yearbook, Italian club, Mock Trial, Drama Club and tons more. They have a TV studio for kids interested in broadcasting and they also offer courses for kids who won't be going on to college. You can graduate from this school with a cosmetology license, a mechanic's certificate, a chef's program and more. All in all, I would rate this school an A+ due to student activities, high honors courses, an award winning marching band, great art programs, teacher involvement, an updated building and student safety.
